Portugal News: Fuel Prices, Shooting in Almada, and Sports Results

Gasoline prices in Portugal are expected to see a significant decrease next week. According to the Automóvel Club de Portugal (ACP), while prices could drop by eight cents per liter, the relief will be partially offset by a one-cent increase in the petroleum products tax (ISP) and VAT effects. Global market volatility, including Brent crude reaching $117, is influencing these shifts.

In Almada, an 18-year-old man was shot in the leg near the Trafaria Basic School. The incident occurred on Avenida 25 de Abril around 3:00 PM when a shot was fired from a passing vehicle. The victim was treated by firefighters before being transported to Hospital Garcia de Orta, and the Polícia Judiciária is investigating the case.

In sports, Sporting de Braga defeated Gent 2-0 in the Conference League, marking their first points in the competition and ending a three-match losing streak. The victory coincided with the debut of coach Franclim Carvalho, with goals scored by Victor Gomez and Gabri Martínez.
