Portugal police seize 41 motorcycles in six‑month crackdown on noise

The Public Security Police (PSP) in Madeira confiscated a total of 41 motorcycles over the past six months. The seizures target areas identified as noise hotspots, notably the Centro do Funchal and the Via Rápida. PSP officials said the persistent problem of motorbike‑generated noise requires ongoing action and urged the reinstatement of mandatory inspections for motorcycles.

The operation aims to curb illegal modifications and excessive sound levels that disturb residents, highlighting the authorities’ commitment to enforce noise regulations on two‑wheel vehicles.
