Portugal retail growth as DS Intermediários de Crédito adds five stores, Action opens 30th outlet

DS Intermediários de Crédito (DSIC) expanded its Portuguese network by opening five new credit‑intermediary stores in July 2024. The locations are Pinhal Novo (6 July), Felgueiras (8 July), Lisbon – Marvila (10 July), Cartaxo (16 July) and Arraiolos (28 July). The company says the openings reflect sustained growth and rising demand for independent, personalised financing services.

Discount retailer Action announced the opening of its 30th Portuguese store in Esposende on 6 August 2024. The 806 m² outlet will offer around 6 000 non‑food items at an average price below €2, employ 17 staff and continue the chain’s sustainability programme, including LED lighting and responsibly sourced materials.
