Portugal school calendar and back-to-school preparations

The 2026/2027 school calendar for Portugal has been outlined, detailing the start and end dates for various educational cycles. Most levels, including pre-school and the first through third cycles, are scheduled to begin between September 11 and 15, 2026. However, secondary education (10th grade and 11th/12th years) will start a week later, on September 21, 2026, due to issues encountered during the first phase of the 2025-2026 national exams.

In preparation for the upcoming academic year, the retailer Sport Zone has launched a “Regressar em Grande” campaign. The initiative offers a 20% discount on a selection of footwear from major brands, including Nike, adidas, Puma, Reebok, and Fila, aimed at helping families manage back-to-school expenses.
