Portugal. The Man announces deluxe album release and upcoming tours

Indie rock band Portugal. The Man is preparing for several upcoming musical milestones, including the release of a deluxe edition of their 2011 album, ‘In the Mountain in the Cloud’, to celebrate its 15th anniversary.

Frontman John Gourley described the album as a record defined by layers of hooks and credited mixer Andy Wallace with helping shape its distinct sound. The band is also set to embark on a U.S. tour supporting Muse, which begins in Charlotte, North Carolina. Gourley expressed interest in bringing a more ‘chaotic energy’ and ‘proggy’ feel to their live performances.

Additionally, the band will bring their Denali Tour to Grand Junction, Colorado, on August 19 at the Amp at Las Colonias. The show, which supports their latest album ‘SHISH’, will feature Philadelphia-based indie rock band Snacktime as the opening act.
