Portugal water supply cut in Viana do Alentejo and Santa Maria Maior
In Viana do Alentejo, a pipe rupture on Rua Padre Francisco Cardim forced a temporary water supply interruption. The outage affected Beco de São Sebastião, Rua Padre Francisco Cardim and a section of Rua de São Sebastião and was expected to last about two hours, with service to resume by 14:00.
In the parish of Santa Maria Maior on the island of Madeira, urgent works on the Quinta do Faial reservoir caused a water outage beginning at 09:00. The interruption was projected to last eight hours, with normal supply expected to return by 17:00. A detailed list of affected streets was released, and municipal authorities urged residents to store water for the duration of the cut.
