Portugalete vineyard joins international Urban Vineyards Association

The Gurdibide community vineyard in Portugalete has joined the Urban Vineyards Association (UVA), an international network of urban vineyards. This membership grants the project global visibility alongside cities such as Turin, Melbourne, Lisbon, and Bergamo.

The project, which began cultivation in 2021, focuses on restoring rural culture, history, and landscape heritage. By transforming degraded land into a community vineyard, the initiative aims to preserve local memory and promote environmental stewardship through a cooperative model.
