Portugal's 2026 National Agriculture Fair highlights small fruits, youth

The Feira Nacional de Agricultura (FNA) will take place from 6 to 14 June 2026 at the CNEMA exhibition centre in Santarém, Portugal. The edition’s theme is small fruits – blueberries, strawberries, raspberries and blackberries – a sector the organisers say is worth around €400 million and is seeing rapid growth.

Organisers report that exhibition halls are almost fully booked, with some exhibitor requests turned down due to capacity limits. About 3,500 schoolchildren from the municipality will attend, and a new “FNAzinha” area will host cooking shows, animal experiences and creative workshops for children.

The fair will feature a strengthened programme for young adults, including a dedicated bar area, concerts by acts such as Revenge of the 90’s, Los Del Rio and DJ Dadda, and a lineup of DJs. Sustainability measures include reusable cups, new recycling points and a free shuttle bus service provided in partnership with Repsol and the regional bus operator.

The Portuguese Minister of Agriculture, José Manuel Fernandes, will open the fair on 6 June at 11:00. Admission costs €8.50 per person, with free entry offered on 8 June. A major private investment for the region is also slated for announcement during the week.
