Portugal's Adega Mayor launches festival wine as Brazil's Longa Vida wins national awards

Adega Mayor released a limited‑edition wine to mark the 2026 Festas do Povo in Campo Maior, Portugal. The white and red bottlings, priced at €7 each, feature a special label celebrating the town’s paper‑flower tradition, and a portion of sales will support the local festival association.

Brazil’s Vinícola Longa Vida, based in Pinheiro Preto, Santa Catarina, earned a gold medal for its Rosé Seco and a silver medal for its Niagara Seco at the Concurso Brasileiro de Vinhos de Mesa. Enologist Jean Bortoloto credited meticulous vineyard care and regional terroir for the awards, highlighting the growing reputation of the Meio‑Oeste catarinense wine region.
