Portugal's Aveiro Region Launches FARAV Craft Fair and Vale do Ave Festival
The city of Aveiro will host the FARAV 2026 craft fair from 24 July to 2 August at the Rossio, marking the event's return after a 12‑year hiatus. Dozens of artisans from across Portugal will showcase traditional and contemporary works in leather, ceramics, textiles, glass, jewelry, wood, and basketry, alongside regional gastronomy and live demonstrations.
Separately, the town of Trofa will participate for the first time in the Festival Cidnay Vale do Ave, scheduled for 10–26 September across three municipalities in the Vale do Ave. The sixth edition will feature 43 initiatives, 55 artists from 17 countries, and the debut of the Festival Vale do Ave Orchestra, highlighting contemporary music, jazz, klezmer and interdisciplinary performances.
