Portugal's Competition Authority Clears Arrow Group's Purchase of Tróia Design Hotel and Casino

The Portuguese Competition Authority (Autoridade da Concorrência) issued a non‑opposition decision, allowing Flecha Lux, a company of the Arrow Group, to acquire the exclusive control of Grano Salis – Investimentos Turísticos, Jogos e Lazer and CHT – Casino Hotel de Tróia. These two firms together operate the Tróia Design Hotel and Casino complex on the Tróia Peninsula in Alentejo.

The regulator concluded that the transaction is not likely to create significant barriers to competition in the national market. Arrow Group, active in credit management, doubtful‑debt collection, real‑estate investment, tourism, golf courses, ceramics and hotel equipment, already operates tourism and maritime services in the Tróia area.
