Portugal's CTE awards €940k contract to remodel training centre in Santiago do Cacém

The Centre for Training for Energy Transition (CTE) issued a public tender with a base price of €940,000 plus VAT to remodel and modernise the building at Quinta da Boavista in Santiago do Cacém, Portugal. The contract covers a gross area of 1,199.38 m² and must be completed within ten consecutive months from the start of works or the approval of a safety plan. The tender was approved by CTE’s Board of Directors on 28 July and will be subject to prior audit by the Tribunal de Contas.

The renovation will convert former workshops into new training rooms, an auditorium, a bar, circulation zones and accessible sanitary facilities. It also includes preparation for an augmented‑reality lab, upgraded electrical and data networks, LED lighting, thermal exterior insulation, double‑glazed windows, and other technical systems. At least 10 % of the construction materials must be recycled or contain recycled components.
