Portugal’s Douro region launches exclusive night‑time wine and gastronomy events

Pipadouro introduced its first "Exclusive Nights" on the Douro River on 7 August 2026. The limited‑capacity cruise for 20 guests, priced at €150 per person, combines a night sail with a curated tasting of Douro and Port wines, wine‑based cocktails, a flying dinner prepared by Chef Pipadouro, and live music performed by the duo Caju. Reservations are made via the company’s WhatsApp number and are confirmed on a first‑come, first‑served basis.

The Yeatman hotel in Vila Nova de Gaia will host a series of "Sunset Wine Parties" each month through September. The three themed evenings – Caribbean Heat on 16 July, Santorini Sunset on 20 August and Tokyo After Dark on 17 September – feature Portuguese wines from about 30 partner producers, a menu of dishes by chef Ricardo Costa and curatorial direction by wine director Elisabete Fernandes. Tickets cost €148, with a reduced €135 rate for groups of eight or more, and the events are designed to be enjoyed on the hotel’s terraces overlooking the Douro sunset.
