Portugal's Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo and Felgueiras launch summer cultural festivals for youth

The municipality of Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo will host a "Verão Cultural & Científico" from 3 to 12 August, offering interactive activities such as robotics, geology, botany, art and astronomy for children aged 7‑14. The programme, organised by CLDS 5G Figueira Inclusiva and the Open Science Platform, limits participation to 50 youngsters; registration must be completed by 24 July.

In Felgueiras, the Parque Urbano da Bouça will be transformed into a cultural hub from 17 July to 9 August under the "Praça das Artes" initiative. The 24‑day programme includes live music, DJ sets, dance performances, workshops in painting, sculpture and crafts, a "Summer Rock" concert, food festivals featuring the Francesinha dish and Vinho Verde & Street Food, a cooking showcase by Chef Miguel Mesquita, and a children's fun park with inflatable and water activities.
