Portugal updates gov.pt app with new business management tools

The Portuguese gov.pt application has introduced new features to the Carteira Digital da Empresa (Digital Business Wallet) to streamline administrative tasks for businesses and individual entrepreneurs.

Users can now consult a consolidated summary of their fiscal situation directly via mobile, including tax alerts, outstanding debts, and fines. The app allows for the generation of PDF documents containing this information, which can be used as proof for banks or suppliers. Additionally, the update provides direct access to the Portal das Finanças for more detailed inquiries.

New functionalities also include a module for public contracts. Business representatives can now track existing public contracts and receive automatic notifications regarding open public tenders relevant to their specific field of activity. These updates are part of a broader digitalization strategy by the Agência para a Reforma Tecnológica do Estado (ARTE) to improve the relationship between the state and the business sector.
