Portugal's Luís de Camões Airport Gets Third Technical Report
The Portuguese government confirmed receipt of the third technical report for the planned Luís de Camões Airport from ANA – Aeroportos. The document, one of five required reports, details the detailed construction plan, work schedule, subcontracting structure and the estimated budget.
The next milestone is the financial report, due on 17 January 2027, with the full candidacy for the new airport expected to be submitted in January 2028. Earlier reports had placed the construction cost at about €8.5 billion. The deadline for this technical report was met on the preceding Friday.
Both the Ministry of Infrastructure and Housing and ANA Aeroportos reiterated that the delivery marks another step in the 36‑month timetable for the airport project, intended to be built on the Alcochete shooting range site.
