Portugal’s medieval fairs set for July‑August across Silves and Anadia

The 21st Feira Medieval de Silves will run from 7 to 15 August. Wristbands granting unrestricted access for the nine‑day event go on pre‑sale from 14 July at €4, purchasable at municipal offices, the town hall, the castle, the library, the municipal pool and several museums. After 7 August the wristbands are sold on‑site for €5. The wristband does not include the "Torneio Medieval" show, which requires a separate ticket.

The Feira Medieval de Anadia returns to the Lagoa de Torres in Vilarinho do Bairro on 24‑26 July. Organized by the municipality of Anadia with the local parish council, the programme features military camps, historical reenactments, weapon tournaments, moçárabe dances, theatrical pieces, a market of medieval food and drink, and free costume rentals for visitors.
