Portugal's PSI climbs, Altri tops gains on Lisbon market

The Portuguese stock index (PSI) opened modestly higher, up 0.03% to 9,126.71 points, driven by Altri's 1.16% rise to €4.79, with Teixeira Duarte and Ibersol also posting gains. Other stocks in the green zone included Navigator, Galp Energia, Banco Comercial Português and NOS, while EDP Renováveis, Mota‑Engil, CTT and several others fell.

A later session saw the PSI slip 0.32% to 9,095.22 points as Teixeira Duarte dropped 1.53% to €0.48, followed by declines in CTT, EDP Renováveis, Jerónimo Martins, Mota‑Engil, Sonae, REN and EDP. Gains were recorded by Galp, Semapa, Ibersol, NOS, Navigator and BCP. European markets were mixed, with the German DAX and French CAC 40 down, the UK FTSE 100 up, and oil prices and the euro fluctuating against the dollar and pound. The South‑Korean chipmaker SK Hynix began trading on the Nasdaq, highlighting broader market activity.
