Portuguese AI startup Hi Human cuts music catalog creation time by 70% and plans European expansion

The Porto‑based artificial‑intelligence startup Hi Human, founded in 2024, has developed a solution that automates the creation and update of music catalogues. By reading emails from record labels, validating data, identifying gaps and structuring the catalogue, the system reduces the required time by roughly 70% while keeping a final human review. The same technology is being adapted for industrial value‑stream‑mapping, generating complete production‑flow diagrams in seconds instead of days and integrating directly with a client’s ERP system.

Co‑founder Paulo Ribeiro says the company aims to expand across Europe through local partnerships, targeting sectors that still rely heavily on manual processes, such as music publishing, metal, textile and component manufacturing. The expansion follows a pilot project with an international music‑industry client, whose confidential identity was not disclosed.

Hi Human’s approach focuses on concrete operational problems, promising time savings, error reduction and better data‑driven decision‑making for companies that handle complex, manual‑intensive workflows.
