Portuguese Army completes training for 114 permanent staff members

The Portuguese Army has announced the completion of its 4th Permanent Staff Training Course for Enlisted Personnel. A total of 114 military members, consisting of 95 men and 19 women, have successfully finished the program.

The training, which began on June 29, 2026, took place at the Escola das Armas in Mafra and the Escola dos Serviços in Póvoa de Varzim. Upon completion, these individuals have transitioned into the Permanent Staff under the rank of Cabo-Adjunto.

The curriculum provided a level 4 qualification according to the National Qualifications Framework, integrating military, technical, and professional preparation. The Army stated this training model is designed to address technological evolution and the increasing complexity of modern military operations.
