Bernardo Pereira wins senior and U-23 European Ocean Racing titles
Portuguese canoeist Bernardo Pereira has secured both the senior and U-23 European Ocean Racing titles. In a closely contested SS1 event, Pereira finished with a time of 1:33:44, narrowly defeating French athlete Pierre Vilella by just one second.
Following his individual success, Pereira is set to compete in the SS2 (double surfski) category alongside Sara Sotero. Sotero previously demonstrated strong individual form, placing 7th in the Open Women category. The duo will focus on coordination and sea conditions as they aim for further distinction in the championship.
Other notable Portuguese performances in the competition included Constança Frazão, who won the junior title, and Pedro Moreira, who secured a runner-up position in his category.
