Portuguese authorities have conducted several major criminal operations across the country. In a maritime operation near Faro, the Polícia Judiciária (PJ) seized 3.7 tonnes of cocaine from a high-speed vessel; two suspects were placed in preventive detention, while a third died during the interception.

In Silves, a 44-year-old man was arrested for allegedly committing five counts of child sexual abuse against his partner's 11-year-old daughter between 2025 and 2026. In Setúbal, three individuals, including the victim's ex-partner, are in preventive detention for a planned homicide that occurred in May.

Other recent arrests include two suspects in Lisbon linked to a carjacking attempt and various robberies in Carregado, and a 32-year-old man in Lisbon detained for the sexual abuse of a vulnerable young adult. Additionally, the GNR arrested a 29-year-old man in Mafra following a vehicle theft and a high-speed chase.

In Lisbon, the 'Rolex Gang' was reported to have struck again, stealing a high-value watch during an armed robbery.
