Portuguese companies Estoril-Sol and Menzies Aviation report improved financial results
Estoril-Sol reported a reduction in losses for the first half of 2026, recording a net loss of approximately 600,000 euros. This is a significant improvement compared to the 1.8 million euro loss during the same period in 2025. The company's gaming revenue grew by 12% to 92.2 million euros, driven largely by a 28% increase in online gaming revenue, which reached 32.4 million euros.
Menzies Aviation Portugal transitioned from a loss to a profit in 2025, reporting 9.4 million euros in earnings after a 15.8 million euro loss the previous year. The airport handling service provider saw a 9% increase in sales to 189.6 million euros. This turnaround was aided by a significant reduction in provisions related to a voluntary departure program and growth in cargo and handling segments. While TAP remains its primary client, the company noted growth in services for airlines such as KLM and United Airlines.
