Portuguese culinary traditions highlighted in regional and international events

Various Portuguese culinary initiatives are highlighting regional traditions and gastronomy. In Oliveira de Frades, the Confraria Sabores do Botaréu represented Águeda at the XII Capítulo of the Confraria Gastronómica do Frango do Campo on September 19. The event served as a platform for gastronomic brotherhoods to exchange traditions and promote local identities.

In Macau, the Clube Militar is hosting the Festival de Gastronomia e Vinhos de Portugal – Sabores e Aromas do Outono 2026. The festival features renowned Portuguese chef Belmiro de Jesus, known for his traditional cuisine and the restaurant Belmiro in Lisbon. Accompanied by assistant José dos Santos, the chef will present authentic Portuguese dishes from September 25 to October 4.
