Portuguese dairy products receive high TasteAtlas rankings
Portuguese dairy products have received international recognition through the TasteAtlas gastronomic platform. The cured goat cheese from Brejo da Gaia, produced in Tramagal, achieved a near-perfect rating of 4.9 out of 5, placing it among the highest-rated goat cheeses globally and at the top of the Portuguese rankings.
Additionally, Manteiga dos Açores (Azores butter) has been featured in TasteAtlas’s list of the world’s best dairy products. The butter is highlighted as a regional specialty of the Azores archipelago, reflecting the region's strong dairy tradition. These accolades follow other recent successes for Brejo da Gaia, which earned multiple medals at the 2024 World Cheese Awards.
