Portuguese edtech Code for All ranks among the world’s top education technology firms

Code for All, a Portuguese education‑technology company, has been placed 19th in the global ranking of the 500 best edtech firms compiled by Time magazine in partnership with Statista. It is the only Portuguese firm in the list and the fourth‑best company in Europe, trailing two firms from the United Kingdom and one from the Netherlands.

The company’s General Manager João Canavarro said the distinction confirms Portugal’s ability to develop impactful tech‑education solutions and underscores the rapid transformation driven by artificial intelligence. He noted that in the past two years the sector has faced its fastest technological change, requiring continuous updates to curricula and training methods.

Code for All has trained more than 5,000 professionals in AI for 2025‑2026, supported over 60 companies, and created more than 15 specialised AI learning pathways. The ranking highlights the firm’s solid financial performance and growing influence in the global edtech market.
