Portuguese football clubs manage transfers and squad changes

Portuguese football clubs are navigating significant player movements and squad adjustments. At Benfica, President Rui Costa reportedly blocked a transfer request from forward Pavlidis, who had sought a move to Fenerbahçe for a reported salary of 8 million euros per season.

Additionally, Benfica's Marco Silva has expressed a strong desire to sign midfielder João Palhinha to bolster the squad following a series of draws. The club is currently working toward an agreement with Bayern Munich for the player.

At FC Porto, Turkish forward Deniz Gul is set to start against Rio Ave due to injuries to André Silva and Samu. Gul's future at the club remains uncertain following a personal setback involving a robbery at his home, where watches valued at 250,000 euros were stolen. He is reportedly attracting interest from Turkish clubs, including Galatasaray.
