Portuguese hotels receive 119 World Travel Awards 2026 nominations

Portuguese hospitality businesses have secured numerous nominations for the World Travel Awards 2026. In total, Portugal has received 119 nominations across 81 different hotels, resorts, and residences.

OMonte Santo Resort in the Algarve leads the country with six nominations, including categories such as Best All-Inclusive Resort and Most Romantic Resort. Pine Cliffs, a Luxury Collection Resort also in the Algarve, follows with four nominations. Other notable nominees include the 1908 Lisboa Hotel, EPIC SANA Lisboa Hotel, and Vila Vita Parc.

Vinha Boutique Hotel, located in Vila Nova de Gaia on the banks of the Douro River, has been nominated for Portugal’s Best Boutique Hotel. The hotel features the Michelin-starred Restaurant Vinha, led by chef Henrique Sá Pessoa.

The winners will be announced at the Europe Gala Ceremony on October 17, 2026, in Kotor, Montenegro. Voting for several categories remains open until August 28.
