Portuguese humanitarian aid arrives in La Guaira, Venezuela

Two of ten containers carrying nearly 240 tons of humanitarian aid collected by Portuguese non-governmental organizations have arrived in the state of La Guaira, Venezuela. The shipment includes food, medicine, and personal hygiene products intended for victims of recent earthquakes.

Jesus Testa, spokesperson for Venexos and Goodwill Ambassador for Venezuelanos, confirmed the arrival at the Almacenadora X7 logistics facility in Maiquetía. The aid was collected across mainland Portugal and Madeira following a double earthquake in June. The supplies will be distributed through 13 local associations, including the Sociedade de Beneficência de Damas Portuguesas and various geriatric homes, to assist those in the earthquake's epicenter.
