Portugal faces high wildfire risk in multiple districts
The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) has issued warnings regarding high wildfire risks across several regions. Approximately 40 municipalities in the districts of Bragança, Viseu, Guarda, Castelo Branco, Santarém, Portalegre, and Faro are under maximum rural fire danger.
Additionally, around 90 municipalities across northern and central districts, including Porto, Aveiro, Coimbra, and Leiria, have been placed under very high fire danger. Temperatures are expected to rise, with Castelo Branco reaching a maximum of 35 degrees Celsius.
