Portuguese judges join IberRed meeting on legal cooperation

Portuguese judges participated in a virtual IberRed meeting focused on best practices for using electronic tools in international civil legal cooperation. The initiative brought together representatives from various Ibero-American countries to share experiences regarding the use of technology to facilitate legal processes.

Judge Rosa Lima, representing the Lisbon Court of Appeal, emphasized that digital tools are increasingly vital for ensuring agile, effective, and secure communication between authorities. She noted that technology should serve the justice system and citizens to strengthen mutual trust and efficiency in international cooperation. Judge António José Fialho also contributed to the discussions alongside international experts from Argentina and Brazil.
