Portuguese municipalities Cinfães and Portalegre approve 2027 tax rates

Portuguese municipalities Cinfães and Portalegre have finalized their fiscal policies for the year 2027.

In Cinfães, the Municipal Assembly unanimously approved an IMI (Municipal Property Tax) rate of 0.3%. The municipality will also implement tax reductions for families with dependents, offering discounts of 30, 70, or 140 euros depending on the number of dependents. The IRS (Personal Income Tax) rate was set at 3%.

In Portalegre, the Municipal Assembly approved maintaining the IMI rate for urban buildings at 0.30% and the IRS rate at 3.25% for 2027. The assembly also voted to maintain the exemption from the Derrama tax. Portalegre's Mayor, Fermelinda Carvalho, stated that maintaining these values serves as an incentive for residents.
