Portuguese municipalities host sports galas to honor local athletes

Municipalities in Portugal are hosting sports galas to recognize the achievements of local athletes and sports agents.

Tondela will hold its third annual Sports Gala on September 26 at the Municipal Pavilion. The event will present approximately 270 awards and diplomas to athletes, clubs, coaches, and officials. The ceremony, part of the European Week of Sport, includes six specific jury-selected awards, such as Coach of the Year and Career Award.

In Trofa, the 9th Sports Gala will also take place on September 26. The ceremony will honor 94 individuals and agents representing more than 20 different sports modalities. Key honors include the Career Award and the ‘Orgulho Trofense’ award, which recognizes those who elevate the municipality's reputation through their dedication and results.
