Portuguese podcasts recommended for International Podcast Day

To mark International Podcast Day on September 30, several Portuguese podcast recommendations have been highlighted, covering genres such as true crime, espionage, and social commentary.

One notable production is ‘A Vida Dupla do Espião Traidor’ by Observador. This investigative series explores the international espionage case of Frederico Carvalhão Gil, a former Portuguese secret service agent convicted of selling confidential information to Russia. The podcast reconstructs the operations that led to his 2016 arrest in Rome.

Another suggestion is ‘Na Saúde e na Doença’, featuring Guilherme Geirinhas and Margarida Santos. This program uses humor to explore universal human relationships and social issues, ranging from marriage and separation to various interpersonal dynamics.
