Portuguese President congratulates sea canoeing champions

Portuguese President António José Seguro has congratulated athletes Bernardo Pereira and Constança Frazão following their gold medal victories at the European Sea Canoeing Championship in Brest, France.

Bernardo Pereira secured both the absolute and U-23 titles after dominating the 40-kilometer race, marking his third consecutive U-23 championship. Constança Frazão won the women's junior SS1 category. The President also extended congratulations to Pedro Moreira, who earned a silver medal in the junior SS1 category.

In an official statement, Seguro noted that these results “prestigiam Portugal” (prestige Portugal) and praised the talent and determination of the young athletes. He also recognized the contributions of the athletes' clubs, coaches, officials, and the Portuguese Canoeing Federation, as well as the support provided by their families.
