Portuguese sailors achieve success in international competitions

Portuguese sailors are achieving notable results in international competitions. In Bodrum, Turkey, Maria Teresa Figenschou, a national ILCA 6 champion from Olhão, is competing in the Under-21 ILCA 6 European Championships. She is part of a three-woman Portuguese delegation that includes Catarina Oliveira and Madalena Wanzeller.

In Portimão, Portugal, José Campos and Rodrigo Pereira of Clube Naval da Povoense are leading the ILCA 6 class at the World Sailing Inclusion Championships. Campos has won all his counted races, while Pereira holds second place in his international debut. Additionally, João Pinto, a former world vice-champion in the Hansa 303 class, remains among the top five competitors in his category and is competing in the doubles event alongside Carlos Santos.
