Portuguese school hosts Family Festival celebrating community and student projects
On 5 June, a school in Portugal held its annual Festa das Famílias (Family Festival). The event gathered families, teachers and students for exhibitions of artwork, projects from visual arts, history, citizenship, technology and natural sciences, as well as performances that highlighted personal expression and collaboration.
Organisers emphasised the festival as a moment to pause daily routines and recognise the school as a broader family, allowing students to share their creations and reflect on their learning experiences.
The day was marked by displays of drawings, comic‑strip creations, scientific investigations and a showcase of the school’s autonomous curriculum projects, underscoring the institution’s focus on holistic education and community involvement.
