Portuguese schools participate in Erasmus+ mobility programs

Portuguese educators and students from different secondary schools participated in Erasmus+ mobility programs in Poland and Germany to exchange pedagogical knowledge and cultural experiences.

Students and teachers from Escola Secundária Jaime Moniz traveled to Łódź, Poland, as part of the ‘Eco-Citizens for a Sustainable Europe’ project. The program focused on environmental sustainability and ecological citizenship through workshops in photography and video for environmental education. The group also visited Warsaw, Kraków, and Łódź to explore historical heritage and urban green spaces.

Meanwhile, a delegation from Escola Secundária de Francisco Franco visited Berlin, Germany, under the project ‘Empowering Teachers: Building a Connected, Inclusive and Technological Tomorrow’. The visit focused on observing how the German education system manages interculturality and the integration of foreign students, particularly those facing language barriers. The delegation studied the organizational structure of the Berlin state education system and discussed challenges such as teacher shortages and aging faculty.
