Portuguese triathlon clubs secure multiple podiums in Mação and Alhandra

Portuguese triathlon and aquathlon clubs Pedrógão Triatlo and Clube de Triatlo do Fundão (CTF) achieved notable results during competitions held on September 6 in Mação and Alhandra.

Pedrógão Triatlo sent 43 athletes to five different events. The club's youth team secured a collective victory in the 5th stage of the Regional Youth Triathlon Championship at the Ortiga River Beach in Mação. Individually, the club earned seven podium finishes and 19 top-10 placements across various categories.

Clube de Triatlo do Fundão participated in two events with eight athletes. In Alhandra, members competed in the super-sprint triathlon, which serves as points for the Taça de Portugal and the National Cadet Championship. In Mação, CTF athletes competed in the Aquatlo de Mação, part of the Litoral e Interior Centro championships. Notable performances for CTF included Pedro Andrade taking third place in the men's general classification and winning the 25-29 age group, as well as a third-place team finish.
