Thai immigration authorities have arrested multiple foreign nationals for long-term visa violations across various regions. In Phuket, a Portuguese woman, identified as former reality TV contestant Daniela Pimenta, was detained at a restaurant in Ko Kaeo while taking a cooking lesson. Authorities confirmed through biometric systems that she had overstayed her permitted stay for 1,807 days, having entered the country in March 2020.
In a separate incident in Phuket, a 55-year-old Chinese national named Mr. Wang was apprehended in a remote jungle hideout in the Karon area. Investigations revealed he had overstayed his visa by 1,793 days and was the subject of an international arrest warrant from China related to illegal casino operations.
Additionally, a 42-year-old Chinese man, identified as Mr. Liu, was arrested at a hotel in Bangkok. Records indicate he had been living illegally in Thailand since January 2020, moving between Pattaya and Bangkok, and was using an expired passport.
