Porvorim flyover to be inaugurated on September 10

The Rs 650-crore Porvorim flyover in Goa is scheduled for inauguration on September 10. The ceremony will be led by Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, according to Goa Tourism Minister and Porvorim MLA Rohan A. Khaunte.

The infrastructure project aims to alleviate long-standing traffic congestion on the Mapusa-Panaji route and enhance connectivity for residents, businesses, and tourists.

In addition to the flyover, Khaunte noted progress on other regional projects, including the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Digital Museum at Farmagudi and the Porvorim Town Square, both of which are 75-80 per cent complete. The minister also highlighted the growth of Goa’s startup ecosystem, which currently includes 815 startups, 382 of which were founded by women.
