Porz to host Fest der Religionen on August 30

The Fest der Religionen, themed ‘Shalom · Frieden · Salam’, is scheduled to take place on August 30 in Porz. The event aims to facilitate encounters between various religious groups under the motto ‘Porzer Religionen begegnen sich’.

The program begins at 12:00 PM with a regional service at the Johanneskirche Westhoven. From 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, the festivities will move to the Glashütte youth and community center, which serves as a new location for the traditional festival.

Organized by the Arbeitskreis der Porzer Religionen, participants include the Alevite, Bahá’í, Protestant, Catholic, Muslim, and Synagogue communities. The event will feature musical and cultural performances, spiritual impulses, and diverse culinary specialties. District Mayor Lutz Tempel is serving as the patron for the event.
