Pos Gob bridge construction to benefit 1,000 Orang Asli residents

The construction of two steel bridges on the Jalan Perhubungan Desa to Pos Gob is expected to benefit over 1,000 Temiar Orang Asli residents by improving access to education, healthcare, and daily necessities. The project, which has an allocated budget of nearly RM1 million, aims to provide safer routes to the Kuala Betis clinic and schools.

Residents have expressed concerns regarding potential delays in the construction progress. There is significant worry that if the project is not completed before the monsoon season, the primary access roads will become muddy and impassable, a problem that currently forces residents to spend up to five hours traveling to Gua Musang during heavy rain.

Nenggiri State Assemblyman Mohd Azmawi Fikri Abdul Ghani stated that the government is taking the residents' complaints seriously. He has met with contractors and community representatives to address the progress of the works, which are currently projected for completion by January 2027.
