Posadas police dismiss reported kidnapping of teenager after video evidence

Police in Posadas, Misiones, have dismissed a reported kidnapping attempt involving a 15-year-old girl after investigations revealed the incident did not occur. The teenager had initially claimed she was approached by men in a vehicle while walking from a skating class near the intersection of Almirante Brown and Lavalle avenues.

Following the report filed by her parents, investigators from the Third Precinct analyzed public and private security camera footage. The video evidence reconstructed the girl's movements and showed that the alleged vehicle, the unidentified men, and the physical struggle described in the initial report were non-existent. The footage also helped determine the actual cause of the abrasions found on her arm.

After the police presented their findings, the teenager confessed the truth to her parents, providing a version of events that aligned with the investigative results. The police have offered psychological assistance to the minor and her family.
