POSCO DX launches 8th annual YouTube contest for disabled creators

POSCO DX has announced the 8th annual 'Kkum-eul Green-da' social contribution project, a YouTube content contest designed to support the dreams of aspiring disabled creators. The initiative is funded by the POSCO 1% Sharing Foundation, utilizing donations from POSCO Group employees.

Open to all persons with disabilities, the contest allows for teams of up to four members, including non-disabled individuals. Submissions can focus on three categories: improving awareness of disabilities, daily safety, and the environment. Notably, a new 'safety' category has been introduced this year, and a special award will be granted for content created using generative AI.

Applications are accepted until the 31st. Winners will be recognized at an awards ceremony in early November, with prizes including ministerial awards from the Ministry of Science and ICT, the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the Ministry of Environment, and the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.

In addition to the contest, POSCO DX has been providing technical support, including online video production training for approximately 390 participants and access to physical filming studios in locations such as Pohang, Gwangyang, Seoul, and Yongin.
