POSCO E&C receives first certification for apartment remodeling noise reduction technology

POSCO E&C has developed ‘AnwoollimR’, a noise reduction technology specifically designed for apartment remodeling, and has become the first in South Korea to receive certification under the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport’s ‘inter-floor noise post-verification system’.

Because remodeling projects utilize existing structures, floors are often thinner and more vulnerable to noise. The AnwoollimR technology improves both floor and ceiling structures to reduce noise while minimizing the loss of ceiling height. In performance tests, the technology achieved Grade 3 for heavy impact noise (such as walking or running) and Grade 1 for light impact noise (such as falling objects), meeting the same legal standards as newly constructed apartments.

With this development, POSCO E&C has completed a comprehensive portfolio of noise reduction technologies that covers both new constructions and remodeling projects.
