PoscoDX launches AI‑native strategy with physical and agentic AI

PoscoDX held a briefing at the Lotte Hotel in Seoul on March 29 to outline its plan to become an AI‑native company. The strategy is built on two pillars – physical AI, which applies industrial robots to heavy steel‑plant equipment such as cranes, reclaimers, unloading machines, impurity‑removal robots and automated guided vehicles, and agentic AI, a platform that automates office and management tasks with AI agents that handle hiring, performance, risk checks and financial reporting.

The company says the physical‑AI rollout will improve safety and productivity on the shop floor, while the agentic‑AI system can cut routine work time from several hours to about a minute and raise overall office productivity by at least 30 %. PoscoDX describes itself as the only domestic full‑stack firm capable of integrating operational technology (OT) with information technology (IT) across all layers of its operations.
