Posillipo: Man arrested after violent robbery and assault

A 36-year-old man has been arrested by Carabinieri following a violent robbery and assault at a commercial establishment in Posillipo, Naples. The suspect, a Dutch citizen originally from the Dominican Republic, arrived at the venue in a BMW 5 Series and took several energy drinks and water bottles from a refrigerator without paying.

When the owner and his partner confronted the man regarding payment, the situation escalated into physical violence. The suspect reportedly threatened the owner's life before attacking him with repeated kicks and punches. He then broke a wooden chair against a wall and used the fragments to strike the owner.

The victims managed to flee and barricade themselves inside a room to escape further harm while the assailant continued to shout threats and damaged the entrance door. The suspect eventually fled with the stolen beverages. Following an investigation involving the vehicle's license plate, authorities located and arrested the man. The business owner received a medical prognosis of seven days for his injuries, and the suspect faces charges of robbery.
