Positano celebrates twinning week with Thurnau

The town of Positano is hosting a week of cultural exchange to celebrate its twinning relationship with the German town of Thurnau. The festivities include musical performances in Piazza Chiesa Nuova, featuring a jazz concert and a performance by Federica Lisi and The Lost iQ.

In addition to musical events, the week highlights the long-standing cultural ties between the two communities, which have been maintained for 26 years through art and tradition. The program included a visit to a local art collection and a recognition of the historical influence of figures such as artist Günther Stüdemann and composer Wilhelm Kempff.

A moment of solidarity was also observed as the Freundeskreis Thurnau-Positano association presented a donation to the local Civil Protection Group to acknowledge the volunteers' efforts during recent fires.
