Positano Teatro Festival concludes with diverse performances
The 23rd edition of the Positano Teatro Festival has concluded, featuring diverse performances despite weather challenges. The festival, directed by Antonella Morea, held its closing event in Piazza Flavio Gioia with a performance by Rosalia Porcaro titled ‘Donne da buttare’, or ‘AlessI. A.’. The show utilized comedy to explore the intersection of female characters and artificial intelligence.
In Montepertuso, the festival adapted to high winds by moving a scheduled outdoor performance to a local parish hall. This shift created an intimate ‘chamber theater’ atmosphere for Roberto M. Azzurro’s production of ‘La Venere dei Terremoti’. Written by Manlio Santanelli, the play explored themes of passion and superstition in popular Naples.
